Using one of our lures? We want to hear what you think! Email quotes@reidyslures.com

My long time fishing buddy Mark Tirrell and I were fishing Monduran some time ago when he felt the call of nature, so he disappeared in to the bushes and whilst he was squatting he looked up and saw a chewed up old B52 hanging from a tree. When he returned he tied on the lure and first cast he caught the Barra in the picture and shortly after another one that went 96cm. All the best. Graham Foley AFN
I have just returned from the Barra Capital of the World, BENSBACH LODGE in PNG. Although Bensbach was closed from 1996 until 2001, the last few years have seen some mighty catches. Part of the recent success has been the introduction of Reidy`s Lures. I first used the great B52 at Bullo River Station in the Kimberleys with well known barra fisherman and fishing journo John Mondora. We caught over 100 barra on our first day at Bullo on the then new B52, I was using the silver and John the gold, but the silver back then out fished the gold hands down. The following year we fished again together at Bensbach Lodge in PNG, the general reports was to fish deep lures with the high waters at Bensbach, but Mondora stuck to his game plan and used the B52.We caught metre long fish on our first casts. And went on to catch hundreds of barra that week on B52`s and also the new Reidys lure, The Judge.
The Judge turned out to be my favourite barra lure, and along with catching more fish at Bensbach then any other lure, has also had great catches in other areas of Australia, including, NT, WA and NTH QLD. It also caught Nile Perch in Egypt and Peackock Bass in the Amazon.
The Judge lure has been the absolute stand out lure at Bensbach the last few years, the Green Judge in 008 has been my favourite lure, and have tested it with fellow anglers now many many times. It is not long when all anglers at Bensbach will have Green Judges casting from their rods. The biggest barra landed at Bensbach a year or two ago was by regular Bensbach angler and judge fan, Mr Peter Conacher who caught a beauty of 57 pound and at 131 cm..
The Judge and B52 are the best casting lures I have had the pleasure of casting, they are both so airo-dynamic, especially in windy conditions, very well balanced and cast where you want them to go, the narrow bib, helps enormously with this. The Judge is also a very good troll lure for barra and even blue water species.
This year at Bensbach, June 2009, the water levels were incredibly high, as a result we started casting deeper 15 and 20 + lures, but wasnt long before the green judge and then the pink Judge EJ, were cast amongst the flood plain drains and snags. The results were almost instant. With 45 barra landed on the first morning for the 3 of us, with
barra over a metre in length and 30 pound in weight. The Pink was the stand out this time and accounted for many fish to a metre. At times there would be 9 judge lures being cast at Bensbach from 9 anglers. Do I need to say anymore??
The Judge is on all my tackle lists, and NO ONE would go to Bensbach without them. For casting, trolling or just twitching through snags, dont leave home without them!! They are by far the standout barra lure, especially at Bensbach PNG>> The Barra Capital of THE WORLD!!
