BIG BOSS

The Big Boss lure is 170mm in length & weighs approx 50g. The lure incorporates a rolling action & a fast tight tail beat. It also has internal rattles & has a healthy reputation on catching large fish which include Barramundi, Tuna, Mackerel & many other Pelagic & Reef fish. The lure comes in 2 diving depths in 3 metre & 5 metre versions. The lure is buoyant & when coming into contact with snags & structure can back out with the release of line or rod tip.

The 3 metre version is fitted with 3 heavy duty split rings & heavy duty size 1/0 trebles. The 5 metre version is fitted with 2 heavy duty split rings & heavy duty size 3/0 trebles.

The Big Boss lures are perfect for trolling speeds of up to 10 knots & by fine tuning even higher. It can also be used for cast & retrieve fishing.

TAIPAN

The Taipan lure is 90mm in length & weighs approx 18g. This lure also has the Reidy`s characteristics of rolling body action, fast tail beat & internal rattles. The Taipan has a great reputation on catching trophy Barramundi as well as many other tropical sports fish. The lure is also at home on many southern species including Australian Salmon, Tailor & many other estuary & coastal fish. The lure comes in 2 versions that being a 2 metre diver & a 3 metre diver. The 2 metre diver is towed by the nose of the lure & the 3 metre diver is towed by the towing eyelet that is fitted to the bib. The 2 metre version is fitted with heavy duty split rings & heavy duty size 2 treble hooks, whilst the 3 metre version has the same split rings but heavy duty size 1 treble hooks. The Taipan 2 & 3 metre lures can be either trolled or cast.

LITTLE LUCIFER

The famous Little Lucifer is a standout lure of this size. With the Reidy`s fast tail beat, body roll & internal rattles this lure is irresistible to many types of fish. The lure body is made from ABS plastic & the bib is made of polycarbonate, the lure weighs 11g & is 65mm in length excluding the bib. The lure comes in 2 diving depths those being a 2 metre diver & the deeper 3 metre diver. The hardware along with all Reidy`s Lures is of high quality, the hooks being 2 x size 4 trebles & heavy duty split rings. The Little Lucifer is towed by the eyelet in the bib on both models. The Little Lucifer has a great reputation for catching big Barra as well as Mangrove Jacks, Yellowbelly, Salmon, Bream, Bass, Saratoga, Tailor, Trout & many other species from both Northern & Southern Australian waters.

LITTLE LUCIFER EXPORT

The Little Lucifer export model has a moulded bib with the body & this model was originally produced for the overseas market. The lure is designed off the popular original Lucifer but with a moulded plastic bib. This model has found a niche in the Australian market & is used alongside its older brother. In the Northern Territory the lure has a fantastic reputation with fishing guides & fisherman at Corroboree Billabong & all the Kakadu Billabongs. The lure has also been tested in Georges Bay at St Helens in Tasmania with great success on Australian Salmon, Bream & Flathead on the sand flats along with other species. The lure is fitted with heavy duty hooks being 2 x size 4 trebles & heavy duty split rings. The lure is towed by the eyelet in the bib & should be used with a snap clip or loop knot so the lure has freedom of movement.

The "Lucy" is 65mm in length excluding the bib, weighs 12g & the body & bib are made from ABS plastic.

B52

The B52 is the iconic lure of the Reidy`s range & has an envied reputation as one of the best Barra lures on the market. The B52 is used all over Australia but its main use is in Northern Australia catching big Barra. The B52 is also used on many other species of tropical fish as well as Southern species such as Australian Salmon, Tailor, Trout, Kingfish & many other estuary & coastal species.The lure has a distinctive rolling action & slower tail beat than other Reidy`s products. With the rolling action the lure being a shallow diver can flash its colours with sunlight penetration & attract predators. The lure is 125mm in length & weighs 25g & has a reputation of being one of the best cast & retrieve lures in the market. The body flashing can be further highlighted by twitching the rod tip so the lure will dart & flash like a fleeing bait fish. The B52 can also be used as a trolling lure & again by twitching the rod tip the lure will dart & pause like bait fish.

The B52 is fitted with 2 x heavy duty size 1 treble hooks & heavy duty split rings & has internal rattles. The body & bib are made of ABS plastic. The lure dives to approx 1.5 metres under normal trolling conditions & is a slow trolling lure.

BIG B52

The Big B52 is a bigger version of the popular B52. The Big B52 has all the characteristics of the B52 . The Big B52 is a serious lure for those serious big fish. The hardware consists of 3 x heavy duty size 1/0 trebles & heavy duty split rings. The body & bib are made from ABS plastic. The body length is 150mm & weighs in at 32g & is an excellent trolling lure but it can be used as a cast & retrieve lure. The lure also trolls around the 1.5 metre mark. The Big B52 is popular in areas such as the Queensland impoundments & the Runoff in the Northern Territory but can be used to great effect in estuaries, coastal waters as well as off shore waters. The big B52 can be trolled at speeds up to 6 knots but is more comfortable at slower speeds & working the lure by twitching the rod tip.

THE JUDGE

The Judge is fast becoming an excellent all round lure. The Judge has a fast aggressive tail beat , body roll & internal rattles. The lure comfortably can be trolled at up to 8 knots & faster with careful tuning & is at home whether trolled or cast & retrieve method. The Judge has a healthy reputation with either catching Barramundi in New Guinea or Northern Australia as well as catching Tuna in Tasmania. The Judge has many catches of Spanish Mackerel , Queenfish , Trevally & other pelagics This lure is favoured by many fisherman & the team at Reidy`s is very excited with the future of this lure. The Judge is fitted with 3 x heavy duty size 1 treble hooks as well as heavy duty split rings. The length of the lure excluding the bib is 125mm & weighs in at 32g. The body & bib are made from ABS plastic. The lure can be used in estuaries, coastal waters or offshore.

GOULBURN JACK

The deep diving Goulburn Jack is like an old friend, when you need help it delivers. The "Jack" is a favourite at the big events in the Territory like the 2 famous Daly River comps The BARRA NATIONALS & The BARRA CLASSIC & has credited itself with catching the biggest fish in these events. The Goulburn Jack continues to be a favourite lure for catching point scoring fish & is a favourite of many big name anglers fishing these events. The lure also has a healthy following with Murray Cod & Yellowbelly anglers as well. The Goulburn Jack dives to around 5 metres when trolling & with its fast tail beat, body roll, loud internal rattles & a nose down attitude so the bib hits on rock bars & snags it is no wonder this lure has a reputation for delivering. Another advantage of this lure is when casting the large bib will have the lure getting down deep as soon as the lure is retrieved so casting at deep snags or drop offs can be rewarding The Goulburn Jack is 90mm in length, weighs approx 18g & is fitted with 2 x heavy duty size 1 treble hooks & heavy duty split rings. DALY DEVIL

The Daly Devil is another deep diving lure in the Reidy`s stable. Unlike the Goulburn Jack the bib on the Daly Devil is moulded with the body which to some anglers can mean a stronger body. The lure is buoyant so when coming into contact with bottom structure will with the release of line or rod tip the lure will "backup". The "Devil" is 125mm excluding bib in length & weighs 32g which makes this lure great for trolling or casting. The lure is excellent for slow trolling in snaggy estuaries or with fine tuning speeds can be increased for trolling snag free waters. The advantage of this lure when casting is that the large bib will have the lure getting down deep as soon as the lure is retrieved so casting at deep snags or drop offs can be fruitful. The Daly Devil has a fast tail beat, slight body roll & internal rattles. The Daly Devil is a good lure for using when fish are feeding well down in the water column or hanging around rock bars etc. The Daly Devil is excellent for targeting Barra or Murray Cod as well as Pelagics.

REIDY`S RUBBERS

The Reidy`s Rubber range is very young in comparison to the main soft plastic lures on the market but incorporated body & tail action when the other brands only had tail action. Today most good pre-rigged soft plastic lures have body & tail action but with a swimming action that is life like on the drop the Reidy`s team is excited with the future of this range. The Reidy`s Rubbers come in 3, 4, 5, 6 & 9 inch models & at present are in 11 colour combinations. They are fitted with quality Mustad Hooks & have holographic film inside to help with flash in the water. The Reidy`s Rubber range also has an anchor point for a stinger hook at the belly of the rubbers & this can increase your hook-up rate however this can also cause snagging if in contact with structure. We suggest a small chain made from several split rings, linked together, with one end attached to the cast in anchor point in lure, and the other with a treble hook attached. The Reidy`s Rubbers are great to use on all species of fish.

J WALKER

The J Walker is one of the latest lures to enter the Reidy`s range. The designer (MR REIDY`S) Jeff Reid developed the lure to add to the surface lure range at Reidy`s . With both The Bloopa & the Prop A Pop A undertaking facelifts there was a void in surface lures at Reidy`s. The J Walker is a "walk the dog" style surface lure & when working the rod tip the lure works in a side to side motion across the surface of the water. The J Walker imitates fleeing prey on the water surface & the most exciting use of surface lures is that you see the action. The lure is great for any surface feeding fish The J Walker is 100mm in length & weighs in at 32g. The lure is fitted with 2 x heavy duty size 1 treble hooks & heavy duty split rings.

THE BLOOPA

The Bloopa has been in the Reidy`s stables for many years & was retired whilst the J Walker was being developed but after many requests for the lure the team at Reidy`s gave the lure a face lift (new colours) & it is now back in production. When worked with big twitches of the rod tip the lure sends out bloops & along with water disturbance surface feeding fish are attracted. The Bloopa is 85mm in length & weighs 12g; the lure is fitted with 2 x heavy duty size 4 treble hooks & heavy duty split rings. The body of the lure is made from ABS plastic.

PROP A POP A

The Prop A Pop A is a fizzer surface lure that the body was made of wood but because of the labour intensive nature of producing the lure Jeff Reid decided to retire the respected lure. The Reidy`s team has had many requests for the lure to make a comeback & in early to mid 2008 the Reidy`s team & their overseas team & Engineers have been working on a plastic body model. The lure is in early testing & the team hopes that the lure can be field tested by the end of 2008.

Like all Reidy`s prototypes the lure will be field tested extensively & may be available mid to late 2009. Stay Tuned.

JUNIOR B52

One of the latest additions to the Reidy`s range is the smaller B52. After many requests from fisho`s for a smaller version of the popular B52 the team worked on this version from September 2007 & have sent approximately 800 testing lures around Australia. The test feedback was excellent & from this there were minor changes made to the lure. The buzz about this lure has been amazing & will be released to the market in late October 2008. The "Junior" will swim at 2-3 feet & is slow to rise when paused making this an excellent lure around shallow snags & weed beds. With constant twitches of the rod tip the lure will dart & imitate a scared baitfish. The lure can also be trolled with success at slow troll speeds with gentle twitches of the rod tip for the dart & pause effect. This was the method used at Shady Camp Freshwater billabong on a testing session & the results were fantastic. The Junior B52 is 100mm & weighs 16g. The lure is fitted with 2 x heavy duty size 2 treble hooks & heavy duty split rings. The body & bib are made from ABS plastic.

BIG LUCIFER

The Big Lucifer is another late addition to the Reidy`s range. The lure follows the design of the ever popular Little Lucifer. This lure was developed at the same time as the Junior B52 & has also seen around 900 lures sent around Australia for testing purposes. The “Big Lucy” will hit the market in late October 2008. The lure can dive to about 8 feet when trolled & also can be used with cast & retrieve method. The feedback on this lure was also outstanding & many fish species were caught. The lure has a very fast but tight tail beat, body roll & internal rattles. Whether trolling or casting, the lure can be worked by twitching the rod tip to imitate fleeing bait fish. The Big Lucifer is 85mm excluding the bib in length & weighs 18g, it is fitted with 2 x heavy duty size 2 treble hooks & heavy duty split rings.
The body & bib are made from ABS plastic.

RATTLESNAKE

The Rattlesnake lure is a bibles lure that works by water pressure on the towing area of the lure & the flat sides. The lure is weighted so that it will sink down in the water column. The lure can be trolled, cast & retrieved or can be jigged around reefs & snags by letting it sink & working the lure by lifting the rod tip. The Rattlesnake is a great lure for many species of fish in most habitats. The lure is 70mm in length, weighs 27g & is fitted with 2 x heavy duty size 4 hooks & heavy duty split rings.
